Sharing Current Notebooks and a Process

Using Vimeo to record a clip with a DJI Wireless mic for my audio

I’m starting an experiment—continuing an experiment—with Substack. These experiments are separated by months at a time. If my Substack index of activity is correct, I create original content here just once a year. Perhaps I should change that frequency.

I viewed Substack’s video promo and encountered voices, faces, and names of people I’ve read since the 90s. Several of the voices are important clarion calls of resistance against the oligarchs marching roughshod through the halls of American government. For them alone, I deserve to be listening more to the Stacks created by these voices who care.

Most of the time, I’m over on Bluesky, Microblog, or LinkedIn. I want to focus my efforts on another service and use Ghost to amp up topgold.ie since that is the service I can most quickly use from my 5yo Samsung Note.

But here I am, making a mark on Substack. And since I’ve discovered I can cross-post my audio blogs on this podskills.substack.com I think that will become a weekly routine.

And several weeks later, I’m continuing this post

by sharing a moment with Media Writing Journals that I’m reviewing. I recorded a short segment with my Osmo Pocket 3 camera while sitting in an open space. I’m simply going to upload it under a divider line on the original post to see if Substack showcases both videos in the mobile app.

I admire Substack for offering video upload services. It’s not easy to configure a blog site to handle big MP4 files.
